Affiliate disclosure

Short version: some links on this site may earn us a commission, that never changes our scores, and we will tell you next to the link.

Current status

As of this page's last update, SleepLab Guide has no approved affiliate relationships and the site contains no affiliate links. We will update this page before any affiliate link goes live.

How we plan to make money

  • Affiliate links. When you click a link marked as affiliate and buy something, the retailer or brand may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you.
  • Free or loaned products. If a manufacturer gives us a unit, we say so on that review. A free unit does not buy a good review, and we do not offer content approval.
  • Sponsored content, if we ever run any, will be labeled "Sponsored" at the top of the page and kept out of scores and rankings.

How disclosure will appear

We follow the FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255). The disclosure will be clear and conspicuous, placed next to or immediately before the affiliate link, in plain language such as "We may earn a commission if you buy through this link." It will not be buried in the footer or only on this page. If we join Amazon Associates, we will also include the statement Amazon requires: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."

Editorial independence

  • Commission rates never influence a score, a ranking or whether we cover a product.
  • We do not accept payment for reviews, scores or placement.
  • We only describe a product as tested when we have actually used it, and each review states its testing basis.
  • We do not write or post fake reviews or testimonials. Community excerpts are real, attributed and linked to the original.
